Free Kindergarten Program
At Brighton Beach ELC, we offer a Four-year-old Kindergarten Program in our Dururu Kookaburra Room. The Kindergarten program is implemented by a Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teacher. In the Dururu Room, we listen to and observe the children’s current interests and skills to guide the implementation of a play-based/inquiry-based program. Your child will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences, both indoors and outdoors, tailored to their individual learning needs. The educators in the Dururu Room will support the children to become confident when exploring the environment, developing their social skills to create friendships and building on their knowledge. We will also support your child in their transition to primary school.
We offer a range of extra-curricular programs involving music and movement, yoga and sport. We implement weekly regular outings, that allow us to explore and make links with our community. The children also receive the opportunity to participate in the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) Program, where they will be learning Chinese (Mandarin)
When developing a high-quality program, we utilise the Victorian Early Years and Learning Development Framework. Our program delivery is also compliant with the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics, the National Quality Framework and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
